AF council gets a lot done in April

By Linda Petersen
The American Fork City Council worked through a number of items at its four April meetings. It established a special event permit with associated fees and adopted an Arbor Day resolution.
The council awarded a contract for $414,430 for a 200 East/State Street intersection realignment project to Construction Material Recycling. It also passed a resolution on its intent to annex the Mitchell Meadows Annexation consisting of 8.58 acres at approximately 900 North 900 West and amended zoning for several smaller parcels.
Commercial site plans for Quick Quack Car Wash, located at 352 N. West State, and for North County Professional Plaza, located at 321 N. 1100 East, were also approved.
At its two work meetings, the council had a discussion with the PARC Tax Committee regarding signage guidelines and heard a presentation on utilities master plan updates from Kameron Ballentine with Bowen Collins & Associates.
