New singing groups for Cedar Hills kids

By Linda Petersen
CEDAR HILLS — A new singing group is offering opportunities for local youngsters at the Cedar Hills Community Center this fall.

Celebration Singers is offering Tuesday classes for three separate groups: grades one to three (3:30 p.m.); grades four to six (4:15 p.m.) and grades seven to nine (5 p.m.)

The classes are being taught by Camille Butler Tullis and Stephanie Goodman Welsch.

Tullis is a member of Sparks Singers, a Christian pop vocal group, a former member of the BYU Ballroom Elite Touring team and a frequent principal actor in local community theater productions such as in Alpine Community Theater productions of "Beauty & the Beast," "Seussical" (Bird Girl), "Annie Get Your Gun" (Winnie Tate), and "The Wizard of Oz" (Dorothy).

Welsch is also a member of Spark Singers, a BYU Music Education graduate and former member of the BYU Women's Chorus.

Tuition is $49/month with a costume fee of $25 per semester. The students will have public performance opportunities per year and enjoy learning positive songs with props and easy choreography. Interested youth/parents can sign up for a free preview class.
