Spotlight: Patterson Homes

By Michael Young
Patterson Homes in Highland, Utah harkens back to Robert Thomas Patterson, who settled in Alpine with his family in the 1930s. His son, Robert Patterson II started building homes in Utah and Salt Lake Counties under the family name. With over 75 years of experience, they have constantly improved their craft to create superior homes for Utah families.

When building a home, they consult with their clients during every step of the process, and provide them with a large variety of options. You can bring your own plans, or use one of Pattesron's provided blueprints. They have about 20 different models to choose from.

Some of the things that clients are able to specify include colors, materials, hardware, interior and exterior finishings, appliances, lighting, audio, security, fireplaces, shower and bath tubs. In short, homes are always built to meet clients wishes and needs. Once construction is started, a home is typically ready in about 120 days.

Even their basic plans come with a variety of features that would be considered upgrades for other builders. These include vaulted ceilings, two-tone paint, upgraded lighting, ceiling fans, upgraded carpet and pad, tile or laminate floors in key areas of the house, and a 50-gallon water heater.

You can learn more about them at www.pattersonhomes.com. There you can see floor plans and what features are available as standard and as upgrades in each of their homes. They also have an extensive gallery there with a variety of photos that show off their homes.
